Michael Poosikian
Biography
Michael Poosikian graduated from the University of Delaware in 2022 with a degree in Political Science and minors in History and Energy & Environmental Policy. During his time at UD, Michael worked with environmental nonprofits on policy and community engagement. He also served as president of a climate RSO, where he helped educate and organize students, which included speaking at and helping organize climate rallies on campus.
Michael was also selected as a delegate for the 2023 National Conference of Youth where he helped draft the National Youth Statement on Climate which was presented to the US State Department and White House.
Currently, Michael is the Senior Public Policy Coordinator at the Truth Initiative, a public health nonprofit dedicated to eradicating youth nicotine addiction. He focuses on tracking federal and state policy, organizing logistics for large events, and researching public health policy.
